Propeller Health
Chronic respiratory diseases like asthma and COPD are some of the most difficult challenges in healthcare. In recent decades, we’ve made huge leaps in understanding these diseases and developing medicines for treating them. Yet despite this progress, patients aren’t doing as well as they could be. Medicines aren’t used consistently, and clinicians lack the tools to deliver personalized treatment. The stakes are also huge. 235 million people worldwide have asthma, and COPD will soon be the leading cause of death in the U.S.
Propeller’s mission is to make life better for every person and community affected by chronic respiratory disease. Our platform includes inhaler sensors and an app that tracks every dose, helping users follow their treatment plan and discover triggers and helping doctors monitor their progress and adjust their treatment plan as necessary. Patients on Propeller have fewer symptoms and less need for their rescue inhaler, and feel more in control of their condition.

Additional Culture Details
Propeller’s culture is characterized by six core tenets that guide how we work together:
1. Obsess over the customer experience. Above all else, we are here to improve the management of chronic respiratory disease for patients, doctors and caregivers. This imperative should guide every decision.
2. Empower the front line. Remove roadblocks for team members who work directly with patients and their caregivers. Listen to the feedback they receive and act on it.
3. Try things. Create movement whenever possible. Get close to problems and test solutions rather than magnifying hurdles. Become an expert on the issues in front of you. Never shy away from getting your hands dirty.
4. Avoid unnecessary originality. Pioneer approaches and become the best in the areas that really matter. Follow the established path for the rest.
5. Leap into your discomfort zone. Seek out perspectives that challenge your own. Our patient population is diverse, as is our growing team. Listen, be inclusive, be humble and learn.
6. Enjoy the process. Celebrate successes, learn from failures and delight in the hard work that leads to change.
