Olympia Gymnastics

For nearly 50 years, Olympia Gymnastics has been the place St. Louis kids learn to flip, climb, fall, and try again. Founded in 1979, we've grown from a single gym into a nine-location organization offering gymnastics, ninja, and tumbling instruction for every age and skill level, from wobbly first-time preschoolers to nationally competitive team athletes.
We believe gymnastics is one of the best sports a kid can do. It builds strength and coordination, sure, but the real lessons happen quietly: the courage it takes to try a new skill, the patience to drill the same one a hundred times, the confidence that grows from doing something hard. That's what we're really teaching. The handsprings are a bonus.
Today, families across the metro area trust Olympia with their kids week after week, year after year, and often generation after generation. It's a responsibility we take seriously, and a privilege we don't take for granted.

Vision

To be the premier choice for gymnastics instruction and related activities in the St. Louis community, and to make a meaningful, life-long impact on the lives of children and staff.
Premier doesn't mean biggest or fanciest. It means trusted. It means the family who tried us 30 years ago is now bringing their grandchildren, and the coach who started part-time in college is now running a location. We measure our vision in those long arcs, not in any single season.

Mission

Our mission is to build happy, healthy, confident children while creating avenues of success through movement and gymnastics. We're Good for Kids.
That sentence is the whole job. Every class we teach, every coach we hire, every decision we make at the leadership level traces back to it. When a child walks into one of our gyms, they should leave a little stronger, a little braver, and a little more sure of who they are. Doing that well, week after week, for thousands of kids across nine locations, is the work we're proud to show up for.

Additional Culture Details

Our principles guide how we work together: we are mission-driven team players who are passionate, positive, and proactive, who hold ourselves accountable, and who carry ourselves professionally.
In practice, that looks like coaches who stay five minutes after class to help a nervous kid try one more time. Managers who remember a parent's name three years later. A team that rallies when a meet weekend gets chaotic, when enrollment season hits hard, or when a coworker needs a shift covered.
We hire for love of children and their development, and we train for skill. We'd rather coach up someone who genuinely cares about kids than work around a talented person who doesn't. That choice has compounded over nearly 50 years into a team that likes each other, stays for the long haul, and shows up ready to do the work, especially when the work is hard.
Everything we do points back to the same idea: this is good for kids. Helping them grow up happy, healthy, and confident is the whole job, and being part of that is part of something big.
The bar we hold ourselves to is simple: would the kids in our gyms be proud of how we treated each other today? That question shapes how we coach, how we lead, and how we show up for one another. It's the standard that has carried Olympia for nearly five decades, and it's the standard we'll keep raising.

Values

Good for Kids
Passionate
We love what we do, and it shows. We come to work energized by the kids in our gyms, the team beside us, and the chance to do work that genuinely matters. Passion is what turns a class into an experience and a job into a calling.
Positive
We bring optimism to the floor every day. Kids are watching how we react to setbacks, challenges, and each other, and they learn from what they see. We choose encouragement over criticism, solutions over complaints, and lift each other up in the process.
Proactive
We don't wait to be told. We see what needs doing and we do it, whether that's spotting a kid who needs extra help, flagging an issue before it grows, or reaching out to a family who hasn't been in for a while. Initiative is part of the job description.
Accountable
We own our work and our outcomes. When something goes well, we share the credit. When something goes wrong, we say so, fix it, and learn from it. We hold ourselves to the standard we'd want others to hold us to.
