I-66 Express Mobility Partners, a consortium of leading global infrastructure companies, operates and maintains the 66 Express in a public-private partnership with the Virginia Department of Transportation. The 66 Express Outside the Beltway provides Northern Virginia commuters, businesses, and mass transit with a reliable option to move people, goods, and services throughout the I-66 corridor, allowing drivers to Sit Less, Live More. The 66 Express features seamless pavement, dedicated access ramps, 11 miles of shared-use path paralleling I-66, and sufficient median space for constructing future transit infrastructure. An advanced dynamic-tolling system will monitor current volume and adjust rates in real-time, managing demand and keeping traffic moving at all times.
