Purpose
Finish Point was founded in 2007 by an aspiring carpenter who couldn't find a way to be trained in the traditional model of apprenticeship (that being the generational baton pass of skills, experience and industry specific wisdom). This meant that things had to be learned the hard way in the beginning. That foundation is why our culture has such a heart for sharing skills, mentorship and ensuring our senior team members don't retire without a fulfilling and rewarding outlet for passing their knowledge on to the next generation of craft workers.
Vision
Sympathizing with the challenge of not being accepted in a stereotypically tough industry, we have made a culture of acceptance and inclusiveness. Finish Point is set apart with a caring culture where we celebrate our differences and challenge one another to create our best work daily. There is no other company in the US that makes an environment where carpenters can find a culture that invests so heavily and consistently in their formative years as a professional carpenter for custom home finish carpentry, architectural millwork and cabinet building.
