Some refer to us as a commercial bank, but from our founding we named our firm Pinnacle Financial Partners because we wanted to stress the fact that we want to be the financial partners for our clients while providing a wide variety of services: banking, investments, trust and insurance services to consumers and businesses. And we have built a culture where associates are excited to come to work every day, and they in turn take exceptional care of our clients. We hire only experienced professionals who are team players and can help us battle the bureaucratic and impersonal practices of our competitors.
Purpose
Provide distinctive service and effective advice to clients who are interested in a deep relationship with their financial services provider, which starts with creating an environment where associates are excited to come to work. Since its founding in 2000, Pinnacle has operated with the philosophy that if associates are excited to come to work, they will in turn engage clients and our communities, which ultimately results in long-term shareholder value. We believe everyone deserves a great place to work and a great place to do business, so that’s what we strive to provide.

Pinnacle is all about partnership -- partnership between associates, with clients and with our communities. In that vein, ALL Pinnacle associates are eligible for annual cash incentives that are based on firm-wide results as opposed to individual production goals that tend to reward only a few. This practice allows all associates – no matter their role – the opportunity to earn up to 10%-20% of base pay in a cash incentive annually. This reinforces the firm’s mantra that we win as a team and lose as a team. Pinnacle also reinforces partnership by giving every associate restricted stock upon hire and annually with a satisfactory or better performance review. So every associate is literally an owner in the firm. Pinnacle is so serious about its culture that the CEO and other senior leaders host a three-day orientation with every new associate to help them understand how and why Pinnacle is unique and understand their role in contributing to the culture. The firm also has Culture Clubs, including two in SC, with associates from all levels and functional areas to help reinforce and strengthen the culture from the ground up. Pinnacle also has an actionable commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion -- driven by DE&I Councils led by volunteers who care are passionate about making sure EVERY associate feels connected, valued and appreciated.
