Since 1945, Catholic Community Services of Utah (CCS) has been empowering people in need along the Wasatch Front to reach self-sufficiency. By giving strength to the weakest in our midst, CCS is able to lovingly serve and provide hope to those with the greatest need in our community regardless of race, religion or personal circumstance. Today, CCS operates three departments: Homeless Services, Migration and Refugee Services and Northern Utah Services, all aimed at helping people get back on their feet.
CCS welcomes newly arrived refugees at the Salt Lake City airport with volunteers from the community.
CCS operates the largest food pantry in Utah. Based out of Ogden, our mobile pantry serves low-income children at local schools so they do not go hungry on the weekends and holidays when school food programs are not available.
CCS' Homeless Services operates the only day shelter and soup kitchen for those experiencing homelessness in Salt Lake City. We serve almost 1,000 meals each day at our St. Vincent de Paul Dining Hall.
