Rankin Christian Center, a faith-based nonprofit social service agency, is located in one of the most economically distressed areas of Allegheny County. Our purpose is to minister to the physical, social, cultural and spiritual needs both of the individuals and of the community in such as way as to promote community betterment. We have thirty plus Supports Coordinators in the Mon Valley Supports Coordination Department who locate, coordinate and monitor services for individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities in and around Allegheny County. The Center also has a Senior Program and Youth Programs (After School, Evening Youth and Summer Camp). We also have a Food Pantry that partners with the Greater Pittsburgh Food Bank. Our Agency houses a Day Care, Head Start Classroom, Family Care Connection site through UPMC Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh. Through a collaboration with Allegheny Housing Rehabilitation Corporation housing services are offered for residents at the Palisades Plaza site in Rankin.
