About Michigan Schools and Government Credit Union

MSGCU has been providing quality financial services to the community for over 60 years. MSGCU offers a full range of loan, deposit, checking, credit card, mortgage and insurance products for those who live in the Lower Peninsula. With 15 offices in Macomb, Oakland and Wayne counties, MSGCU has more than 130,000 members and $2 billion in assets.

Being not-for-profit allows us to give back to our members through better rates, fewer fees, free financial education, grants, scholarships, and other community support. We work hard every day with members to personalize plans to help them meet their financial goals. This exceptional level of dedication contributes to our 96% satisfaction score for more than 20 years.

Each year, we award more than $150,000 in scholarships and grants to aspiring students and teachers, as well as first responders and the skilled trades. Our award-winning team conducts hundreds of free workshops annually. We believe every conversation with a member is an opportunity to support their financial success.
