North Iowa Transition and Employment, Inc. is a private, not for profit organization that has been Helping People Work, and Live since 1969. Our talented teams of people empower Iowans with disabilities and mental health to achieve community involvement through building strong relationships. All of our clients are living and working with disabilities or mental health that can affect the way they learn, work, and interact with the world around them. We work with clients, partners and businesses in 12 counties including Cerro Gordo, Franklin, Floyd, Hamilton, Hardin, Mitchell, Worth, Winnebago, Hancock, Wright, Butler and Bremer. Our decentralized service model is represented by local many local groups. We seek to match our clients with the right job, place to live and people to interact with.

As an organization we are also trying to be more independent and less reliant on government resources by operating businesses that support our mission and area economic development.. We are very proud that 62% of our 4.5 million budget is generated by our businesses.
