Our culture’s greatest strength is our mutual commitment to our mission. We are proud to work at Goodwill of the Heartland, embrace our values and are passionate about helping individuals that we serve to overcome their barriers to independence.

Our greatest asset is our diverse, committed team members. We work hard, but also take time to celebrate our successes. We strive to make it a great place to work. We value our team members taking care of themselves and are invested in their ongoing learning and development. We support them in reaching their goals both within and outside of work.

We value transparency and promote an open sharing of information throughout the organization and within our communities. Goodwill of the Heartland’s strategic goals are graphically displayed using the metaphor of a compass. The four goals areas (mission, people, finances and infrastructure) outline the circumference of the compass. Our mission defines “true north”. To achieve our goals, we not only do so organically, but also seek out opportunities for collaboration with other community organizations.
