Located in Atlantic, Iowa, Cass County Health System (CCHS) provides a broad spectrum of healthcare services for the people of southwest Iowa. The health system is comprised of three entities: Cass County Memorial Hospital, Cass County Medical Clinics and Southwest Iowa Mental Health Center.
Founded in 1968, CCHS has grown to become the largest employer in Cass County, with over 350 staff from over 25 area communities. The non-profit health system is governed by an elected Board of Trustees.
As a critical access hospital, Cass County Memorial Hospital is a 25-bed hospital, with 17 medical surgical, 4 ICU and 4 LDRP beds. The hospital also provides a 4 bed behavioral health unit. Local medical specialties include family medicine, general surgery, podiatry, psychiatry, obstetrics & gynecology, and ear/nose/throat. Visiting specialists provide an array of additional specialty care.
