Bridgeway - Academy & Therapy Center
Bridgeway is a non-profit organization supporting children and young adults with autism and developmental disabilities. Bridgeway’s service model provides individualized educational opportunities and collaborative therapeutic services, creating an unprecedented setting for learning.
Bridgeway was founded in 2005 as Helping Hands Center for Special Needs by Abigail David and Erin Nealy. Both were working in the central Ohio disability community as owners of small private speech and music therapy practices. They observed parents struggling to meet the needs of their children, driving from school to therapy sessions located at various sites throughout the community. Abby and Erin began to dream, made plans and eventually built a center that is student-and-client-centered.
Through its two entities, the Academy and the Therapy Center, Bridgeway offers a full continuum of educational and therapeutic services for 300+ individuals from 10 counties in central Ohio.
