Receiving a Top Workplaces employer recognition award is like receiving a badge of honor, straight from our employees. We work hard to ensure all teams and employees are engaged and the Top Workplaces awards add credibility to that mission. It was a huge accomplishment to win the Top Workplaces USA award this year and we want to use that recognition as momentum to keep listening and growing with our employees.

At Buechel Stone, we use the Energage Platform to analyze and compare workplace trends across different employee groups. First, the Workplace Survey gives our employees the opportunity to share honest feedback. Then, we use Insights to analyze and compare workplace trends across different employee groups. As a leadership team, we’re constantly reading that feedback and using it to develop organizational improvement plans.

Survey insights reveal leadership development’s impact on employee engagement

The survey feedback found in Insights showed us that we needed to make a few very specific changes within our organization. First, we noticed that a certain team was too large, so we reorganized there. Then, the data showed us that employees wanted more leadership training, so we implemented additional training and development opportunities. Insights even helped us rearrange our employee benefits programs to better suit employee needs. 

We get great feedback from our employees that reveals cracks in our culture and helps us hone in on how to better support certain employee groups. From manufacturing to marketing, every team has different needs and skill sets. The Workplace Survey helps us drive changes that are unique to each department and focus on teams that are not getting enough support. We wouldn’t have been able to understand those bottlenecks without the survey data.
