Additional Culture Details
Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility
As a leadership team, we are really clear on why diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) are important to us and we annually establish goals and initiatives to live that out.
We provide a safe learning environment and host events where team members can build an understanding and awareness of cultural competence, language appreciation, and barriers to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging.
We have a “Shipmate” mentoring program that matches new hires with current team members to help guide them during their first few weeks and learn more about Wheelhouse. We also have an enriched onboarding process to ensure a warm and inclusive welcome to Wheelhouse via a personalized and consistent experience.
Most recently, we launched a team-member-led DEIA Council that works with Wheelhouse leadership to bring team member perspectives through recommended activities like volunteer and learning opportunities.
