Memphis' only Classical Christian school educating children in grades JK-12
Purpose
Westminster Academy was established in 1996 as Memphis’ only JK-12th grade classical Christian school. We are committed to providing a classical and biblically based education that glorifies God. We plan our curriculum with the end in mind so that even our smallest students are learning the skills necessary to become eloquent and wise graduates.
Vision
Westminster Academy aims to graduate young men and women who think clearly and listen carefully with discernment and understanding; who reason persuasively and articulate precisely; who are capable of evaluating their entire range of experience in the light of the Scriptures; and who do so with eagerness in joyful submission to God. We desire that they see all learning as under the authority of Christ, seeking to integrate all subjects together in forming a comprehensive biblical world-view. We desire them to recognize cultural influences as distinct from biblical, and to be unswayed by the world, the flesh, and the devil. We aim to find them well-prepared in all situations, possessing truth and knowledge and the ability to decide and act confidently. We desire they be socially graceful and spiritually gracious; equipped with and understanding the tools of learning; developing a lifelong love of learning, and desiring to grow in wisdom. We desire that they know and love the Lord Jesus Christ and His church, having a heart for the unsaved and the courage to give a defense of the hope that is within them. All these we desire our students to possess with humility, thankfulness, and gratitude to God.

Westminster Academy exists to cultivate in students a lifelong love of truth, goodness, and beauty through scripture and a classical Christian education.

- Because God created all things, the study of his creation should keep Him at the center by viewing all things through the lens of Scripture. This also means that every subject is theological in nature and all truth is God’s truth. No subject should be studied in isolation from God’s truth.
