WesleyLife is committed to transforming the aging experience so people live longer, healthier lives. We focus on each person’s abilities – not limitations – we strive to extend not just lifespan, but what we call the “healthspan” of those we serve.
We are on a mission to create the most comprehensive network of services available to enhance the independence, health and well-being of older Iowans, wherever they call home. Each of WesleyLife’s seven senior living communities offer choices, including independent and assisted living, memory care and long-term care. Our network also offers wellness services, such as inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation therapy, along with an array of home-based services, including home health, personal services, adult day, home-delivered meals, transportation and hospice.
WesleyLife is nonprofit founded in 1946 in Des Moines as a home for aging Methodist ministers and their spouses. Today, WesleyLife's 1400 team members' focus is to support the independence, health and well-being of 8,000 Iowa seniors each year, wherever they call home. All WesleyLife residents have access to Good Samaritan funding, providing them with a home and peace of mind, even if their finances run out.
