The Walton County School District is committed to ensuring that all students have the opportunity to learn in safe and engaging learning environments. Students, parents, teachers, administrators, staff, district office personnel and community members work together to ensure our students succeed both in our community and the global society.
The Walton County School District serves around 14,600 Pre-K through 12th grade students in 15 schools. There are 3 clusters each with 1 high school, 1 middle school and 3 elementary schools. The system provides a rigorous academic curriculum with enrichment programs for choral and instrumental music (K-12), band (5-12), visual arts (K-12), foreign languages (6-12) and technology (K-12). There are accelerated programs for high-performing students and differentiated curricula for identified gifted students through combinations of resource, cluster, and/or collaborative instruction K-12, AP classes and advanced content. The system also provides special education programs for students ages 3 through 21. At the secondary level the curriculum includes Career, Technical, JROTC and Agriculture Education pathways. Additionally, the district provides after-school programs, a before and after-school tutorial program and Parent Involvement Coordinators.
