Visiting Rehab and Nursing Services (VRNS) was founded by two dedicated occupational therapists, Gregory Stelmach and John Pizzolato, who share a passion for helping individuals improve their quality of life and achieve greater independence. Both began their careers in direct patient care before coming together in 2008 to establish Visiting Rehab Services. Their shared vision expanded in 2016 when they acquired a skilled home care agency, which later evolved into Visiting Rehab and Nursing Services. In 2019, VRNS became an approved provider for the ABI/MFP waiver program, followed by our designation as SME providers in 2020. Most recently, in 2023, we proudly became an approved MassHealth provider. We deliver exceptional clinical care across the entire state of Massachusetts. Additionally, our "Partners in Prevention" program offers in-service training to direct care staff on a wide range of relevant topics designed to prevent injury and promote safe practices.

At VRNS, we foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment where every team member feels valued and empowered to contribute. We believe in creating a culture of respect, support, and continuous learning, where employees are encouraged to grow both personally and professionally. One of the ways we ensure that our field staff has a voice is through our Culture Committee. This group, consisting of field clinicians nominated by clinical managers, meets regularly with John and Greg. Together, they discuss various topics, provide feedback on what’s working well, and suggest ways to address challenges. This initiative ensures that our staff's insights are heard and that we continually improve our processes to better support our team and the individuals we serve. Whether you’re in the office, working remotely, or out in the field we emphasize teamwork, innovation, and mutual respect in everything we do.
