The true test of a great culture is when it is challenged with unprecedented events, such as the COVID-19 pandemic. As the pandemic reached the United States, Village Green was ready to respond to steps required in each state for both VG associates and residents. Property management was deemed an essential business, so Village Green remained open to service and support our residents. To address the fluid situation of the pandemic, Village Green established a COVID-19 task force who worked closely with corporate leadership to ensure safety and business continuity during this crisis. Our primary concern throughout this crisis has been keeping our associates and residents healthy and safe. Over the span of now three months, Village Green has maintained best practices and protocol based on the recommendations of the Center for Disease Control. With properties we manage in 17 states, it has been imperative that our leaders have been informed and equipped to address the needs of residents, associates and owners.

Moving toward recovery from the pandemic, Village Green is continuing to assess the lessons learned as we continued to operate throughout this crisis. Some amazing examples of our associates demonstrating strength and support would be in sales continuing to be strong throughout the country’s lock-down. Sales consultants pivoted to conducting virtual tours of properties, and rentals remained strong week over week. Additionally, Village Green service teams created YouTube videos to address minor repairs residents could do themselves so that service technicians were not required to enter apartments during the height of infection. The resiliency of our employees and leaders has been remarkable.
