Headquartered in Chicago, Vi owns and operates 10 continuing care retirement communities (CCRCs) across the United States, including Vi at The Glen, in Glenview, IL. At Vi, residents live in comfortable, stylish and maintenance-free homes, have weekly housekeeping services, and enjoy fine dining prepared by chefs trained by the Culinary Institute of America. Vi provides its residents a wealth of opportunities to stay active and engage in the community. Vi communities also offer health care services, such as assisted living, Alzheimer’s/memory support care and skilled nursing care so that residents may remain in the community, close to their spouse, friends and neighbors, even as care needs change.

In 2016, Vi employees participated in several enriching and engaging community service activities. These fun opportunities to work as a team have a positive impact on employee morale. The activities included, hosting a BBQ luncheon at Hollywood House, a low-income senior housing center. Employees also participated in a scavenger hunt for supplies to benefit the Ronald McDonald House at Lurie Children's Hospital as well as organized linens, served lunch, and performed clean up duties at Pacific Garden Mission homeless shelter. Employees continue to donate personal care items to benefit various charities throughout Chicago. To celebrate a memorable year of giving back, the 2nd annual "Vi Shares Day" was celebrated in late November. Employees prepared some of their favorite dishes for a potluck event, and also purchased and wrapped over 250 gifts that were later distributed to disadvantaged children during the holidays. At Vi at The Glen, employees donate to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for breast cancer and host/sponsor an Alzheimer's Walk to benefit the Alzheimer's Association.
