Venice Pier Group
Venice Pier Group consists of 4 waterfront dining destinations in Sarasota County: Sharky's on the Pier, Fins at Sharky's, Siesta Beach Eats and The Nest at the Bay. Sharky’s on the Pier officially opened on February 13, 1987, at the site of what was once an outdated beach concession. Located directly on the beach, Sharky’s has been serving up fresh seafood, burgers, drinks and more for almost 40 years. Located right next door to Sharky’s, Fins at Sharky’s, opened their doors December 13, 2013, still boasting the most incredible Gulf views on the Florida west coast. Fins at Sharky's features an inventive, ever-changing menu inspired by an array of global cuisines and seasonal South Florida ingredients. In August of 2021, Venice Pier Group added a 4th waterfront location, Siesta Beach Eats, and began managing the Siesta Beach Concessions. In 2022 we added The Nest Cafe at Bay Park, a state-of-the-art concession stand at The Bay Sarasota.
Purpose
From the Gulf to the Bay and down to the River, Venice Pier Group has had a long-standing history of operating high-quality, world-renowned Food, Beverage and Hospitality destinations. Since 1987, Venice Pier Group has put a family focus on fun destinations that not only serve great food and give amazing service, but they hold the attention of all visitors, whether they are traveling or live local, for an all-day experience. Our goal is for each guest to enjoy our great food, unique atmospheres, outstanding service, and more that represents the best of Florida's Gulf Coast.
Vision
Venice Pier Group extends a warm welcome to all to dine, dance, and have fun. It doesn't matter if you're a local Florida Cracker, visiting grandma or grandpa, or just vacationing in Venice, we strive to create a memorable experience all.
We are dedicated to presenting menu items that embrace our proximity to the Gulf and delivering the best possible dining experience for our customers. No matter where you sit at Sharky’s and Fins, whether inside at a table or outside, every guest will experience a spectacular view showcasing the magnificent Gulf of Mexico.
We are lucky to live in such a beautiful costal town, and strive to help each guest discover this while dining at Sharky’s, Fins Siesta Beach Eats or The Nest at The Bay. While the view at one of our waterfront dining locations may be one of the reasons that draws customers in, we want it to be the food and service that we provide that brings them back.

Sharky’s on the Pier, Fins at Sharky’s and Snook Haven are widely recognized by the community and have been awarded numerous accolades. These awards reiterate Venice Pier Group’s commitment to quality food and beverage, service and dining experiences.
The Venice Pier Group family has a rich history of involvement in the Venice community, actively sponsoring and participating in several local charities. We are lucky to be a part of the wonderful Venice community and strive to give back in as many ways as possible. In addition to the Venice Area Chamber of Commerce, we are also active members of Venice MainStreet, Sertoma, Sarasota-Manatee Originals, Visit Sarasota County and the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association, just to name a few. We are grateful to live in a community that consists of numerous wonderful non-profits and we try and support as many as we can. A few that are near and dear to our hearts include Children First, Habitat for Humanity, South County YMCA, Sharky’s Ride the Beaches, All Faith’s Food Bank and Laurel Civic Association.
