United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona was formed in 1922 as a way for local business and nonprofit entities to work together to meet our community’s needs. In our nearly hundred-year history, we’ve continued to adapt and evolve to serve those most in need in our community and create sustainable solutions for a thriving community. Over the past 100 years, hundreds of thousands of people have been touched by United Way of Tucson. Such a milestone is not attained by accident. We are indebted to the community members who have invested time, money and resources. Our community depends on the active engagement of our business, government and nonprofit partners to support programs and initiatives that promote high quality education, financial wellness and healthy communities for everyone in Tucson and Southern Arizona. A vibrant, healthy community benefits us all.
