United Way of the Columbia-Willamette
United Way of the Columbia-Willamette is more than a nonprofit organization – we are a community problem solver. We are one of 1,800 United Ways located around the world focused on advancing the greater good by addressing the issues that matter the most to the areas we serve.
Locally, United Way of the Columbia-Willamette is focused on breaking the cycle of childhood poverty. To accomplish this, we are harnessing the caring power of people across multiple sectors – community members, corporations, government, nonprofits, and schools – to create a set of shared strategies that address the barriers that trap kids and families in poverty generation after generation.
In addition to our own ‘Breaking the Cycle’ initiative, United Way of the Columbia-Willamette serves as our region’s resource for workplace giving campaigns. We make philanthropy easy for more than 30,000 individuals who generously give to their favorite charities through their workplace. Last fiscal year, United Way helped facilitate 572 workplace campaigns at over 700 locations around our four-county region.
