n 1994, TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® St. Louis started in a Kirkwood basement with one truck and a yellow page ad. What started as a small business quickly began to grow. Today we operate three locations in the metro area and average over 13,000 moves per year. We have recently added junk removal and full-service storage facilities.
Whether you’re looking to relocate around the corner, a few states away, or across the country, our skilled packing and moving teams are ready to take on the challenge. Our crews are professionally trained in our 1,500 square foot mock home training facility. Each training class teaches the proper way to move every item in the home, load it on a truck, and unload it back into the home! Everyone at TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® St. Louis is drug tested and background checked, as well as licensed and bonded. We live by THE GRANDMA RULE®, to treat everyone the way you would want your grandma to be treated. This is why we treat everyone like family.

We remain consistent throughout hiring and training procedures. Welcoming new employees is a critical part of the onboarding experience, which begins the minute the application is completed. We are a team that models our practices in every department so we are leading by example and practicing what we preach.
In addition, job candidates must be eager to learn and grow, be self-reflective, be honest, and be able to admit fault and learn from mistakes. We also strive to find candidates who are proactive rather than reactive, addressing problems as they arise. When we hire quality candidates, we are able to support and mentor them rather than micromanage them.
We remain consistent with how issues are handled and addressed. We also focus on relationships as well as the work, since both must be addressed in a healthy culture. And, last but not least, we recognize that everyone has a role and is to be supported and acknowledged – we celebrate success through events such as barbecues and corn hole tournaments.

As employees' talents develop, we have them take advantage of online courses through TWO MEN AND A TRUCK. In some instances, additional training through Home Office is utilized such as Frontline Annual Meeting and Gearing Up. The key is to look for those talented individuals that fit our culture and move us forward!
There are endless ways we acknowledge team members for a job well done. We keep it informal and have weekly shout-outs for great reply cards. The employees that are recognized get to pick from a variety of gift cards.
We also acknowledge birthdays, work anniversaries, new babies, and other significant life events with gift cards or TWO MEN AND A TRUCK branded items.
We have two employee of the month programs – one for office staff and another for movers. The office staff nominates coworkers and a winner is selected. The mover is chosen by reply cards and attendance. Each winner is given a cash prize and a certificate or trophy.
