Since January 2020, we have increased our workforce by about 45%. We are a family firm and a genuine community. We were accustomed to seeing each other regularly during busy seasons and non-busy seasons. Throughout 2020 and 2021, though, we adopted video chat activities and had fun get-togethers, competitions, and more to stay connected and have more recently created new opportunities for in-person and hybrid interaction. Our successes in this realm created an environment conducive to a hybrid workforce. We genuinely enjoy each other's company, and the firm offers a variety of events to encapsulate multiple preferences. We often order food into the offices and host annual firm-wide get-togethers and charity events. We often attend sporting events, happy hours, educational gatherings, and more together. Our firm is full of history and stories dating back to its inception in 1961. While we are creating new memories, often one might get regaled with a funny story of a current partner when they were an associate or another story from an event that we did many years ago. Our average tenure of employees is fourteen years, and many employees have authentic friendships outside of work, which helps our firm feel even more cohesive.
