Purpose
Thrive ministers to at-risk youth in Knoxville to share the Gospel through relationships anchored in the love of Christ. We do this through our three main programs: Thrive Afterschool, Thrive Summer, and Mentoring. Our purpose is to partner with communities to pursue the spiritual, emotional, academic and physical wholeness of students with the hope of seeing them truly thrive. We provide nutritious meals, academic tutors, and a loving environment for more than 240 youth each weekday throughout the year. We believe the only hope for everyone in our hurting world is to break the generational patterns of sin by becoming new creations in Christ. Unlike many after school/mentoring programs, Thrive is explicitly Christian. We recognize that spiritual needs are far greater than physical needs.

Mission
Thrive connects caring adults with at-risk youth through gospel-centered relationships. As we partner with communities, we pursue spiritual, emotional, academic, and physical wholeness. We do this through our three main programs: Thrive After School, Thrive Summer, and Mentoring.
Additional Culture Details
Thrive hires college students as interns for our elementary, middle school and high school programs, under the supervision of our full time site directors. They model the love of Christ on a daily basis to students as they study the Bible together, work on homework together, engage in fun activities together, share family-style meals together and share life with students. This takes place in a safe environment where consistent, loving discipline is the standard.
