Founded in 2014, The Wanderlust Group is a technology company composed of Dockwa, Marinas.com, and Campouts.com. We believe that the best way to better the world is to get people out in it. To support this mission, we are building the infrastructure of the outdoors -- a marketplace and technology platform that connects adventurers to destinations and helps those destinations grow. You’ll find our apps and software used by more than 250,000 people, across 15,000 destinations in more than 30 countries. We are a remote-first company that proudly works on a 4-day work-week so that our team can spend more time outdoors too.
Purpose
We are building the digital infrastructure and bridge to the outdoors. Through our technology and industry expertise we help outdoor destinations digitize their operations, while making it easier and seamless for boaters and campers to plan, book, experience and share their adventures. Our purpose for our employees is similar in that we are building the bridge to connect with each other and our knowledge, expertise, experience, and ideas to find the right solutions solving the right problems. Vision
We believe the best way to make the world better is to get people out in it. Too much of our time is spent indoors, behind screens and away from nature. Time on the water and in the woods has been linked to everything from a stronger commitment to environmentalism to better mental health. We are working to reduce barriers to getting outside in the great outdoors. We focus on activating that vision and mission with our Wanderers so we can lead by example, and be happier, fuller people for it.
Mission
We connect adventurers to the marinas and campgrounds eager to welcome them in and we help those local destinations grow.
When you bring people, providers, data, and transactions together, barriers fall, insights become more clear and the entire ecosystem gets better. We are working to become the touchless wallet of the adventurer, the operating system of the destination, the source of benchmarks for the industry, and the vibrant marketplace for countless other adjacent industries.

We operate on a four-day work week (yes, really): We believe in the value of time spent away from screens, so we ask our team not to work on Mondays. We do not pay less as a result. We don’t limit vacation days: Regular time away from work is critical. We have no caps to our vacation time, we just ask that you act responsibly with your work and communicate with your team in taking it.
We are remote: We are all wanderers, so, while we have office locations in Newport, RI and Cambridge, MA, you can work from anywhere in the United States.

- Studies show a link between the amount of time people spend in nature and their desire to protect it. Part of what we're hoping to spread by getting people outside is the admiration and appreciation we feel for these spaces. We believe in supporting responsible ways to experience the outdoors. We try to be both conscious of our impact on the environment and the ways in which we can protect it. We invest in environmental nonprofits and encourage our audience through our content to understand their impact on the climate and nature around them.
