The Union League of Philadelphia
In 1862, The Union League of Philadelphia was founded as a patriotic society to support the policies of Abraham Lincoln. Nearly 150 years later, The Union League is a private Five Star Platinum Club of over 3,250 members. Counted among our members are many top leaders in business, academia, law, medicine, politics, religion, and the arts. Our members gather to socialize, dine, network, attend events, exercise and relax in one of the city's most beautiful and historic settings.
The Union League has loyally supported the American military in each conflict since the Civil War, and continues to do so today as clearly exemplified by its founding motto, "Love of Country Leads." The Union League of Philadelphia is a shining jewel of history in the heart of the cultural and commercial district of Philadelphia, a city defined by such treasure. The Union League has hosted U.S. presidents, heads of state, industrialists, entertainers and visiting dignitaries from around the globe.
