Menninger is a mental healthcare system with assessment & treatment for people with complex psychiatric disorders that may also be accompanied by addiction, pain or medical conditions. We focus on each patient’s needs for physical, emotional interpersonal, & spiritual health. Patient families participate in therapy & receive coaching to support recovery. Outpatient Services include child & adult psychiatry, family therapy, addictions treatment, ECT & custom assessment; plus Pathfinder, which helps adults integrate into the community & live independently, & free social & vocational support for 300+ members of The Gathering Place, a supportive clubhouse. Inpatient treatment & assessments specialize in adolescent, professional, young adult & adult populations. The annual luncheon draws 700+ Houstonians who learn about mental health. Affiliated with Baylor College of Medicine, Menninger is a teaching hospital with nearly 300 trainees annually & numerous continuing education programs for clinicians. Our researchers collaborate on neuroscience & treatment outcomes studies with BCM & others. Our mission: be a world leader in advancing mental health treatment through research & education.
