The Florida Aquarium is a great destination for people who truly want to come within inches from amazing. From underwater encounters with sea turtles, moray eels or sharks to penguin encounters behind the scenes, our guests have the opportunity to see life from a unique perspective!
Our team of biologists, divers and educators do some amazing things for the community. Whether they help with underwater clean-up projects, take animals to underserved children or care for injured and orphaned river otters, our staff works outside the Aquarium almost as much as they work inside!
We are the only facility in the world with a health certificate for placing corals back in the wild to promote new growth. If we don’t start helping the world’s coral reefs, in about 30 years we may lose more than 80-percent of them globally. Our researchers work with other agencies around the world to help make a difference.
