The Detering Company is a 98 year old family owned and operated business providing building materials to custom homebuilders and remodelers in Southeast and Central Texas. Detering specializes in Millwork, Windows, Doors, Cabinets and Lumber. Founded by Carl Detering, Sr. in 1926 it is owned today by Carl Detering, Jr. and his children Carlos Detering and Cassie Detering Milam. Carlos Detering is the current President and COO. Detering has two locations in Houston and a location in Bryan, TX. Detering also has a sister company, South Texas Brick & Stone, which is the leading supplier of masonry products in Houston, Austin, and San Antonio.
