The Charlton School
We are a nonprofit mental healthcare center providing 24/7 evidence-based clinical support and an onsite NYS-approved high school for young women. Our services are provided at no personal cost to families and students. Founded in 1895, the Charlton School has evolved over the years to become a clinically focused premier mental healthcare resource for families throughout the Northeast region. We collaborate with families to create a therapeutic learning community where a foundation, based on relationships, drives creativity and self-discovery through intensive individual approaches. Smaller class sizes support student’s academic progress, and multiple forms of therapy aid with the improvement of emotional wellness. Our residential and day students are supported with collaborative, individualized and intensive approaches that include Equine Therapy, Psychiatric Nursing Services, Social Emotional Learning, and Family Therapy on a scenic 275 acre campus located in southern Saratoga County.
Purpose
We provide a safe, accepting, and creative therapeutic learning community, where young women with mental health needs are empowered to pursue their personal journey based on their unique strengths and passions.
Vision
The Charlton School empowers students to transform themselves into vibrant members of society.
