community need. More than 70 years later, our
families and communities still need us.
What started as a support group and day nursery
for families coping with disabilities has grown to
become the largest nonprofit in New York state
serving those with developmental and other
disabilities. Today The Arc New York has over
100,000 members and serves more than 60,000
individuals through 42 Chapters across the state.
At The Arc New York, we recognize that each person
and family has a personal and unique journey. We
endeavor to support individuals we serve in ways
