Additional Culture Details

Sunnking was founded in 2000 as an electronic device reseller. As equipment was bought and sold, there came the point when we had accumulated equipment with no value.

True electronic scrap!

Our owner, Duane Beckett, referred to his previous decade in the scrap metal industry by recycling obsolete equipment. Focusing on clean streams and the environment, Sunnking invested in simple yet effective recycling equipment to separate each commodity.

As the industry of e-scrap evolved and the “green” movement escalated, Sunnking was able to position itself as a leader in the industry. Our combination of scrap metal experience with high-tech sales channels created the model we still use today.

Sunnking has increased recycling volumes to over 25 million pounds annually and is New York State’s first R2-certified recycler.
