Founded in 1969, Spectrum Health Systems, Inc. offers a continuum of CARF accredited substance use disorder and mental health treatment services throughout Massachusetts, serving more than 6,000 individuals each day. Spectrum’s comprehensive continuum includes inpatient detoxification, clinical stabilization, residential treatment, outpatient counseling, medication for addiction recovery, and peer recovery support.
Our full array of services allows clients the opportunity to transition to another Spectrum program and receive ongoing support as their recovery progresses.
Spectrum also provides a range of programming for court-involved individuals through contracts with the Massachusetts Department of Youth Services, Department of Children and Families, Department of Correction and numerous county sheriff's departments.

Purpose
Founded in 1969, Spectrum Health Systems, Inc. has long been on the forefront of evidence-based substance use disorder treatment, helping thousands of individuals overcome addiction and reclaim their lives. Over time, Spectrum has grown considerably, broadening its array of services, expanding to other states, developing a continuum of services and removing barriers to ensure treatment access for all, including justice-involved individuals, at-risk youth, men, women, and those with co-occurring disorders.

Mission
Our mission is to provide the highest quality of services to individuals seeking treatment for substance use and/or mental health disorders. We assist our clients in achieving sobriety, sustaining recovery, and fulfilling personal goals in order that they may lead healthier, more productive lives.
Additional Culture Details
During our 55 years of service, we have never rested on our laurels. We continually develop areas of expertise which enhance our body of knowledge in all areas of addiction and recovery. We are not only practitioners but regular contributors to the behavioral health field through publishing, presenting at professional conferences across the country and airing educational talk shows. We use this knowledge to continually improve programming to better serve our clients.
