Skyline Assayers & Laboratories
Skyline started in Bisbee, AZ in the 1880’s as Hawley and Hawley Assayers & Chemists. Among its first mining clients were the historic Copper Queen Mine, the Copper Glance mine, the Holbrook Mine, and many other mines developing in & around Bisbee, AZ at the end of the 19th century through the beginning of the 20th century.
As of January 1, 2006, the laboratory again became an independent business. Skyline Assayers & Laboratories is the registered trade name of Arizona Assayers Inc. Skyline is recognized as an industry leader for all types of base metal, ferrous, and non-ferrous analysis, including high-quality ore-grade assays, sequential copper analyses of ores, and umpire assays of metallurgical products. Skyline has grown and expanded its presence, serving the mining industry in North America continuously for more than 135 years.

Purpose
Skyline is the oldest laboratory continuously serving the mining industry in North America. We were founded to serve the Copper Queen Mine in Bisbee, AZ, in the 1880s, and have been in continuous operation ever since. We’ve been serving the mining industry in North America longer than any geochemistry laboratory. Skyline is older than Coca-Cola, Boeing, Kraft Foods, UPS, Kellogg's, Target, and many others.
Vision
Our consistent accuracy is renowned in the industry. EG: When Phelps Dodge acquired the Copper Queen Mine, we continued to provide their assay service needs. When Freeport acquired Phelps Dodge, we continued to serve Freeport’s assay requirements. For decades, we have provided assay service for all of Freeport’s mines in North America. Our additional clientele includes Rio Tinto, Asarco, Grupo Mexico, Hudbay, Arizona Sonoran, Resolution, Gunnison, Golden Vertex, Peñoles, and several mines in various parts of Africa.
