Shriners Hospitals for Children — Cincinnati is one of only four freestanding hospitals in the country dedicated to the treatment of pediatric burns and specializing in plastic and reconstructive surgery. Our physicians’ experience and expertise in burn treatment, cleft lip and palate, complex wound and skin conditions, and plastic and reconstructive surgery makes our hospital a first choice for care. We accept patients for conditions we treat, regardless of the families' ability to pay. We recognize that there are certain, basic needs shared by all patients and families including information sharing, emotional support and respect. Therefore, we foster an environment that keeps parents and families close to the child and actively involved in the development of the child’s care and recovery plan, and transition back to home and school, considering the physical, emotional and developmental needs of the child.
