Sherwood Companies is a family-owned and operated heavy highway and industrial contractor with nearly nine decades working in construction across Oklahoma, Kansas, and Colorado. Our CEO, David Sherwood, describes us as a living being. We’re ever evolving and growing with our people being the lifeblood of the company.
Purpose
To self-perform many types of civil construction including earthwork and site prep, concrete and asphalt paving, civil and structural concrete, rock excavation, piling and sheet piling, sub-grade stabilization, and water/waste-water treatment facilities. We also have a tremendous amount of experience with all underground utilities including sanitary sewer, water, storm sewer, and main electrical distribution.

At Sherwood, safety is a driving principle. A testament to that principle is our history of winning multiple AGC and ABC safety awards. Our philosophy is that safety starts at the top, and David Sherwood’s motto is safety first. We have implemented required pre-project planning which includes pre-task planning to ensure all hazards are accounted for and recognized. Daily safety meetings are required along with continual safety training of our more than 1000+ core employees.
