In 1966, Sheehy Ford began as a small, suburban, family-owned car dealership just off the Washington, D.C. Beltway. Today, Sheehy Auto Stores is one of the Top 30 Dealer groups in the country. The company has grown to more than $2 billion in sales and has expanded to include import and domestic franchises with 27 dealerships throughout the Washington, DC, Richmond, Virginia, Baltimore, Annapolis, and Hagerstown, Maryland areas. We are proud to represent these brands: Ford, GMC, Honda, Hyundai, Infiniti, Lexus, Lincoln, Mazda, Nissan, Subaru, Toyota and Volkswagen. Purpose
Cars have been a part of Sheehy Auto Stores’ DNA since it was founded in 1966. We have steadily grown over the years and have become the premier auto group in the Mid-Atlantic region because of our team members and our customers. We sell and service cars, but we also have a strong commitment to our 2,100 employees and the hundreds of thousands of loyal Sheehy customers that we do business with each year.
Sheehy Auto Stores was also built on an unwavering commitment to the community where we do business. Over the years, Sheehy Auto Stores has donated over $40 million dollars to local non-profits and charities in the Mid-Atlantic. A driving principle of Sheehy Auto Stores has always been that when the company profits from the sale or service of a car, a portion of that should go back to the community. We identify non-profit organizations or other causes in our backyard and support them through annual, groupwide giving programs like our Sheehy School Supplies Drive, Food Drive, Holiday Toy Drive and Year-End Giving. Beyond providing financial donations, we also help organizations solve their transportation needs and we provide volunteers from our Sheehy teams.
We also have partnered with the American Heart Association to create heart-healthy lifestyle programs for our employees. Our Sheehy has Heart team member initiatives focus on heart health, mindfulness, nutrition, and physical activity.
