Purpose
Shakespeare Dallas exists to make Shakespeare accessible and relevant to everyone. Our purpose is to serve North Texas through affordable, high-quality cultural experiences that celebrate the power of storytelling to inspire connection, reflection, and dialogue. We produce professional theater in welcoming outdoor spaces, create innovative educational programs for youth and adults, and foster community through inclusive programming that reflects the diversity of our region. For over 50 years, we’ve believed that Shakespeare belongs to everyone—and we work every day to make that belief a reality.

Shakespeare Dallas aspires to be a nationally-recognized “peoples theatre” that creates and develops audiences and artists, provides an essential and beloved experience and is a company poised for future growth.
Mission
Using Shakespeare’s works as a cornerstone, Shakespeare Dallas serves the Southwest region with fun and accessible indoor and outdoor theatre, integrated school programs and cultural enrichment for people of all ages and backgrounds.
