As an organization, we are fighting a battle, a battle for childhoods that are free from child sexual abuse. One in five children will be abused this year in the U.S. -- that equates to more than 1 million children who will become survivors of child sexual abuse. That’s 1 in 5 neighbors, 1 in 5 playmates, 1 in 5 classmates. Child sexual abuse is a systemic problem across our country. At Saprea, we work together to prevent this from happening in our own backyards, neighborhoods, and communities. Working for Saprea means working toward a cause that impacts children and families worldwide, and even future generations.
