Samaritan
Samaritan is your not-for-profit, locally based provider of home-based primary care, palliative medicine, and hospice care, as well as social connections, grief support, education, and advocacy. Proudly serving the South Jersey community since 1980.
Purpose
Samaritan is committed to the core values of Compassion, Respect, Integrity, Excellence, and Innovation. Our expanding range of home-based healthcare services include Primary Care, Palliative Medicine, Social Connections, Hospice Care, Grief Support, and The Boccolini Institute for Education, Research, and Innovation. The heart of Samaritan, however, is our Samaritan Difference, fueled by the dedication, expertise, and compassion of each member of our team.
For the past 45 years, Samaritan has been locally based and nationally recognized for our quality and experience in helping patients along the journey of serious illness and aging. Serving Camden, Burlington, Gloucester, Mercer, and Atlantic Counties, we meet patients and their families where they are and pride ourselves on listening to, and honoring, their care wishes and goals. Samaritan also provides round the clock inpatient centers for those patients requiring a more intensive management of their symptom relief.
Samaritan's strategic focus centers on three areas: Enhancing life for more patients and caregivers; Enhancing life for our Samaritan team; and Enhancing life by leading person-centered care through education, research and innovation.
Forty-eight percent of our employees have over five years of service. Twenty-seven percent have over ten years of service. Sixteen percent have over fifteen years of service. These are not typical health care industry statistics, but they are Samaritan statistics.

We recognize the unity of life and our connectedness with each other, those we care for, our community, and our world.
We strive to create a healing environment at all levels to restore wholeness of self, by assisting those being cared for with meeting basic human needs, while seeking to align mind, body and spirit.
We provide care that is both life giving and life receiving through the incorporation of the philosophy, art, and science of caring.
We are guided by a deep sense of commitment and the ethic of human service.
