In the same way people replace old tires on their cars rather than throwing their cars out, we see a world in which eyewear consumers replace their worn-out lenses rather than throwing out their frames. Instead of disposing of 4 million pairs of eyewear a year because of damaged lenses, we want people to renew them with Revant lenses. We envision Revant being the brand that empowers customers to see a better, more sustainable, world by bringing this new category to life through radical product and service innovations, incredible customer experiences, and bold communications.

Our mission is simple yet compelling. There are two things that make Revant the “world’s best replacement lens company:”
By most estimates, lenses and eyewear were invented between 1268 and 1300. Since that time, despite decades of material and design innovations in frames and lenses, nobody has thought to make it easy to renew perfectly good eyewear with high-quality replacement lenses. At Revant, we believe that everyone that wears glasses should be empowered to easily and affordably replace or upgrade their lenses from the comfort of their home.
Plastic takes over 400 years to decompose. An estimated 18,000,000 lbs of plastic are disposed of by the lens manufacturing industry every year and an estimated 4 million pairs of glasses are thrown away each year. The plastic waste generated does significant harm to the outdoor environments in which we love to adventure. There are no lens brands that prioritize saving these outdoor environments by implementing and encouraging more sustainable practices in the vision industry. We believe in creating a great lens brand that enhances customers’ connection to both their eyewear and nature by championing more sustainable practices and products to do our part in saving the environment.
