ProKids
ProKids provides First Steps early intervention services for children ages birth-3 years in Hamilton, Hendricks, Johnson, Marion, Morgan, and Tipton Counties.
Purpose
ProKids has proudly served as the local lead agency for Indiana’s First Steps early intervention program for 25 years. As the System Point of Entry for Central Indiana First Steps, ProKids provides outreach, identification, evaluation, assessment, and service coordination to more than 10,000 families of children ages birth to three each year. This is accomplished in partnership with Indiana’s Family and Social Services Agency, First Steps provider agencies, and community medical providers, child care providers, public school systems, and social services organizations.
Vision
Our vision is that families of infants and toddlers have access to the services and supports that will enhance their capacity to help their child grow and learn, that staff members have the training and support to provide excellent services, and that ProKids continues to be a trusted partner and resource in the communities we serve.
Mission
Our mission is to promote the health and development of young children through access to available programs and education of family members and service providers.
