Progress Industries
Founded in 1979, Progress Industries (P.I.) is a nonprofit organization that assists people of all ages with physical and intellectual disabilities to live and work as independently as possible within their communities. This is accomplished through training and support in residential, employment and day habilitation programs. Residential services are provided in community-based settings in Polk and Jasper Counties in central Iowa. P.I.’s employment services include pre-vocational training and supported employment programs provided in Jasper and Story Counties in central Iowa. Day Habilitation services offer therapeutic and instructional activities to develop maintain or increase skill development in life functioning areas. Progress Industries has nearly 285 employees who provide services to 350 people on an annual basis.
