Purpose
POWERHOME SOLAR is an energy efficiency company that provides high-quality American-made solar panels as part of a complete energy-savings package for residential customers. The company launched in 2014 in Mooresville, N.C., and today has more than 1,100 employees, including a commercial division. Operating in 10 states, it is ranked No. 100 on the 2019 Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in America – the second time in three years that the company has made the top 100 of this prestigious list.
Vision
POWERHOME SOLAR’s vision is to become the No. 1 solar company in America. With incredible growth in this emerging industry, and a leadership team always looking for ways to improve, we always ask ourselves, “Why not us?” POWERHOME SOLAR is already making strides toward its goal of being the best, as it is ranked No. 7 in the nation among residential solar installers, per Solar Power World’s 2020 rankings. That ranking is one spots higher than it was in 2019. POWERHOME SOLAR wants to deliver solar energy solutions to as many people as possible, because this clean energy source is the future. We want to accelerate the transition from dirty power sources such as coal and natural gas as quickly as possible.
Mission
POWERHOME SOLAR’s mission is twofold – save customers money on their power bills and save the planet from the damaging effects of climate change. The use of solar energy and battery technology allows our customers to lower their electric bills because the energy produced by their panels goes toward powering their homes. This process allows our customers to potentially save thousands of dollars over the lifespan of their solar system. And because solar energy is a carbon-free energy source, every solar panel we install goes toward mitigating the effects of climate change. Unlike coal and natural gas, which emit thousands of tons of carbon dioxide into the air annually when burned to generate electricity, solar panels emit no greenhouse gas emissions.
