Portland Rescue Mission
Since 1949, Portland Rescue Mission has been a beacon of compassion, love, and God’s grace to the community suffering from homelessness, addiction, and trauma. This is done by a group of highly relational, Christ-centered, joyful servants comprised of over 90 staff and 1,000 volunteers who shine a light in the city of Portland, Oregon.
Purpose
Through the use of our transformation model, PRM strives to address homelessness by guiding neighbors in great need through four holistic and integrated offerings – Get Help, Stabilize, Recover, and Give Back – addressing the root causes of homelessness, addiction, and trauma.
Vision
PRM envisions lives restored as cycles of homelessness, addiction, and trauma are broken through trusted relationships, Christian discipleship, addiction recovery, healthy communities, and a deep reliance on God, Giving Hope and Restoring Life, one life at a time.
Mission
We exist to transform the lives of people experiencing homelessness or addiction by sharing the Word of God and demonstrating the love of Christ.
