Pinnacle Financial Partners
When Pinnacle was formed as a financial services firm in 2000, its founders knew they had a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to build something different -- something "more than a bank." The firm made a commitment to deliver distinctive service and effective advice to clients with every interaction, effectively waging war on the bureaucratic and impersonal. To do that, Pinnacle knew its first priority would have to be engaging associates. We are intentional about hiring the best and creating a great workplace, because we know that associates who are excited about coming to the office every day will give clients exceptional service. That, in turn, creates engaged clients who are loyal and interested in a deep relationship with us. This ultimately results in long-term results for shareholders.

Additional Culture Details
Pinnacle is all about partnership -- partnership between associates and partnership with clients. In that vein, ALL Pinnacle associates are eligible for annual cash incentives that are based on firm-wide results. Basically, we win as a team and lose as a team.
Pinnacle is serious enough about its culture that the CEO and other senior leaders host a three-day orientation with every new associate to help them understand how and why Pinnacle is unique and understand their role in strengthening the firm's culture. The three days culminate with a day of teambuilding exercises that associates often cite as one of their most memorable work experiences.
Because the firm believes so strongly that values are an integral part of the way we do business -- not just words on a sheet of paper -- the firm's annual performance reviews are built on values, rather than just focusing on numbers. Teams of leaders from across the company spend hours in values review sessions to ensure consistency across the firm in the way we measure performance.
Pinnacle is very intentional about ensuring associates know how important they are to the firm's culture. Leaders continually reinforce the message that associates own the culture. Consistent with this concept, the firm has Culture Clubs in each market made up of associates from all levels and functional areas to help reinforce and strengthen the culture from the ground up.
Listening is a part of Pinnacle's DNA that is reinforced with an annual Work Environment survey. All associates are encouraged to give candid and honest feedback on what's going right and what could be improved. Responses are then posted by team on the intranet with no filters, an important part of the firm's commitment to transparency. The leadership team posts firm-wide initiatives stemming from the feedback. Leaders across the firm also post team-centered responses on the intranet, highlighting what their teams value most and areas for improvement, along with the initiatives they are committing to implement for making improvements.
