Purpose
Perpich Center for Arts Education exists to expand access to high quality arts education for Minnesota students and educators. As a state agency and public education institution, Perpich is distinct in serving both students directly through its Arts High School and communities statewide through professional development, arts education resources, and the Perpich Public Arts Library.
Vision
Perpich envisions a Minnesota where every student can develop artistic and academic abilities to their highest potential through meaningful, high quality arts learning. That vision is rooted in equity, access, creativity, and the belief that teaching in and through the arts helps develop creative, critical thinkers prepared to contribute to their communities.
Mission
Our mission is to provide all Minnesota students the opportunity to develop, enhance, and integrate their artistic and academic abilities to their highest potential by teaching in and through the arts. We advance that mission through a tuition-free public Arts High School, statewide professional development and resource programs, and a library that supports arts educators, students, and the public.
