Serving the greater Milwaukee area since 1970, Outpost Natural Foods Co-op is a community-owned, full service grocery retailer featuring the best in local, natural, Fair Trade and organic foods. Outpost is recognized for its signature made-from-scratch deli and bakery products. Outpost operates six convenient retail locations: 100 E. Capitol Dr., Milwaukee, 7000 W. State St., Wauwatosa, 2826 S. Kinnickinnic Ave., Milwaukee, 7600 W. Mequon Rd., Mequon (Spring 2014), as well as Market Cafe's in Aurora Sinai Medical Center in Milwaukee and Rite-Hite YMCA in Brown Deer. It also has an in-house production kitchen that is responsible for the prepared foods and bakery production needs for all Outpost locations and catering. Owned by over 18,500 individuals from Southeastern Wisconsin, Outpost employs nearly 400 people. It is the fourth largest cooperatively owned natural foods grocer in the country by sales volume and is a founding organization and proud member of both the National Cooperative Grocers Association and Local First Milwaukee.
